Cyber-Bullying and Blog Safety
"Cyberbullying" is when a child, preteen or teen is tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarrassed or otherwise targeted by another child, preteen or teen using the Internet, interactive and digital technologies or mobile phones. It has to have a minor on both sides, or at least have been instigated by a minor against another minor. Once adults become involved, it is plain and simple cyber-harassment or cyberstalking. Adult cyber-harassment or cyberstalking is NEVER called cyberbullying. My advice to a younger student is to tell atrusted adult if you are being harassed or threatened on the internet. You can prevent most cases if you:
- Take a 5 minute Break if you feel you need too
- Don't put personal information on the internet
- Don't put pictures on your blog of yourself
What Project Helped Me the Most
The project that I learned the most from during this class would defiantly be the Google Sketch Up that we did at the begging of the year. It helped me the most because it taught me patience and how to work with three dimension objects on the computer. I would really like to do this again because it is a very cool thing that we learned.
